My office handles the formation of Corporations and LLC’s (Limited Liability Company) for new businesses.
My services include :

• Drafting and filing the proper documents
• Explaining to the client their responsibilities under a Corporation or LLC
• Acquiring a Federal Tax ID number
• Recording the Corporation or LLC with the proper County

Corporations and LLC’s are legal entities created by the laws of a state.  The law treats Corporations and LLC’s as people that can sue or be sued.  This gives an individual forming the Corporation or LLC protection against being held personally liable in a lawsuit if that individual is working within the scope if the corporation or LLC. 

 

EVICTIONS/FORCIBLE DETAINER

My office handles eviction and forcible detainer actions on behalf of landlords.  An eviction is a legal proceeding where a landlord reacquires possession of a property from a tenant for failure violating terms of a possession agreement or lease. 
My services include:

• Drafting and filing proper notices and documents
• Appearing in court on behalf of the landlord
• Dealing with the county sheriff during the eviction proceedings

BANKRUPTCY

My office handles Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases

A Chapter 7 bankruptcy is a proceeding designed to liquidate the debtor’s property, pay off his or her creditors, and discharge the debtor from his or her debts.

A Chapter 11 bankruptcy is a proceeding where a debtor business entity petitions the bankruptcy court when it realizes that it will become insolvent or will be unable to pay its debts.  The purpose of the Chapter 11 is for the debtor business to continue its operations under court supervision until a reorganization plan is approved by the creditors.

A Chapter 13 bankruptcy is a proceeding where an insolvent debtor who is a wage earner can formulate and file a plan with the court that provides the debtor with additional time to pay off unsecured creditors.
